With Memorial Day less than a week away, the strawberry festival this weekend, and temperatures in the 80s and 90s inland the beaches in Oxnard are starting to move!

Happy Summer from Hollywood Beach in Oxnard. Not too hot outside and not too cold in the water today.

Oxnard, California from the 3rd Floor of a suite at the Embasay Suites Mandalay Bay. A picture perfect day on Labor Day.
Settings like this make you ashamed to celebrate a partial day of rest while the hotel workers are working to make your stay enjoyable.

This is my second quiz in two days. Is this a lobster or a crab? Low tide today in the Oxnard, California Marina brought all sorts of creatures other than the ordinary sea lions.
A pinkish/purple bat fish looking thing was the best.
This picture was taken on what my clan refers to as, "The Donut Dock." Two weeks ago others caught an Octopus there.

View of the pool area, Saturday afternoon, at Tiki Oasis. The event took place in the Crowne Plaza, built in 1954, on Hotel Circle.

Taken from the dunes on Fifth Street. The Oxnard beach and Marina area has incredible natural beauty I am hoping development does not destroy anytime soon.

The Wetlands at the end of the Oxnard Marina, in back of Westport connecting to the Oxnard River. Taken September 27th during our Indian Summer. Which one do you like better?

End of the summer, and end of the Oxnard Marina in Westport taken from the natural preserve area that flows into the Oxnard River.

The 2014 Festival of Lights in the Oxnard Marina was good. Although we had our holiday party in our water front Oxnard office, and we went out to see the light show I am sorry to report I did not get a single picture. Last year my pictures did not turn out good. I guess boat driving in a crowded harbor while taking pictures is not the thing to do anyway.
The picture in this post is from last year and is terrible, but if you decide to go next year this is what you might see.

These new clients barked into the telephone something about wanting to file a class action for national origin discrimination. They said they did not drive so I should meet them on a dock in the Oxnard Marina.
Weird, but I've represented a lot of Longshoremen. I sped on over in my electric boat, at full blast, going 5 knots an hour.
When I got to the dock this is what I saw!
