We are unfortunately working on a few serious farm labor abuse cases right now. One involves false imprisonment, forced religious worship, and gun pointing. Another involves a pregnant woman thrown to the ground and forced to obtain a fitness of duty paper from her doctor just because she is pregnant. Luckily these cases are in Kern County and not Ventura County.
For the time being all I have to do is look at the lovely Ventura County farms. Relish the ones that have not yet been developed.

Ventura County Farmland during autumn. Winter is almost over in Southern California (this week it actually feels like summer), and it will be time for new crops.
This year my farm labor cases include an employee who fell off an unsecured seat of a tractor in Kern County after complaining of safety violations, and was fired; An verdict to fire the Blacks in a Kern County almond farm; Age and FMLA discrimination of a long term employee at a Ventura seed farm.
